Nigerian Music, Dance Take Spotlight As Harry and Meghan Visit Lagos

Nigerian music and dance recently grabbed international headlines after Harry and his wife Meghan were recently spotted enjoying the same during their visit to Lagos, Nigeria.

It should be noted that Harry and Meghan arrived in Lagos on Sunday, May 12.

Nigerian fashion, music and dance recently attracted more eyeballs thanks to Harry and Meghan who could not help but indulge in the former barely hours after landing in Lagos, Nigeria for a three-day visit to promote mental health for soldiers.

MGAHAWANI.com understands that Harry and his wife visited the country to also empower young people.

The ‘former’ royal couple who arrived in Nigeria courtesy of an invite from the Nigerian Military were treated to a series of music and dance from the airport and throughout their first day in the West African country.

The couple also got the chance to enjoy Nigerian culture as Meghan was spotted rocking a traditional Nigerian Aso Oke, which is a patterned handmade fabric wrapped around her waist that went well with her white top.

During their visit to Giants of Africa – a local charity, the couple were again treated to yet another round of Nigerian dance and music before officially unveiling a partnership between their Archewell Foundation and the organisation.

Harry and his wife later attended a fundraiser for Nigerian soldiers who were wounded in the country’s fight against Islamic extremists and other armed groups.

West African media reported that the event was related to Prince Harry’s Invictus Games, which Nigeria is seeking to host in the near future.

The couple also got the opportunity to visit the Lagos State Government House, where Meghan was treated to yet another handwoven Nigerian fabric.

“We’ve extended an additional invitation to them that they can always come back when they want to,” Lagos Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu told the press.
