Eight people are cooling their feet behind police cells after they were arrested for causing disturbance at the Munich Airport.
The eight, who are climate protestors werre arrested on Saturday, May 18.
According to Sky News, six of the activists glued themselves to the airport’s runway on Saturday morning causing mayhem for almost three hours.

Their protest forced the airport to cancel about 60 flights leaving hundreds of travelers stranded.
The eight were nabbed minutes into their protest and things returned to normalcy with the runway resuming operations.
Popular climate protest group dubbed Last Generation took responsibility of the protest.
This was made apparent in videos posted on X and which shows its members wearing orange vests on the runway.
“A total of six people are sitting in two groups on different locations of the Munich airport,” one of the tweets stated.

“It is absurd that people can afford flights more than train journeys,” another post from the group read.
“The responsibility for this lies with the government: it subsidises flights while the railways are ruined by cost-cutting.“ It added.
An official from the Munich Airport told the media that the protest rendered the airport useless for almost two hours as planes could not and or take off.

The disruption unfolded during one of the busiest travel periods, second only to the Easter holidays, airport officials disclosed.
The Nancy Faeser, the Interior Minister assured the airport and the public that security would be reviewed.
She also added that the perpetrators must face the full force of law.
“Such criminal actions endanger air traffic and harm climate protection because they only cause contempt and anger,” she wrote on X.
Volker Wissing, the transport minister, said new laws were needed to increase punishments for such protests, which are currently only classed as minor offences.
